Long Island Masonry & Paving

Masonry & Paving

Driveways, walkways, patios, stoops and retaining walls built to survive Long Island winters.

Overview

Masonry & Paving done right, the first time

Paver driveways, bluestone walkways, brick stoops, natural-stone veneers and segmental retaining walls — all engineered to hold up through Long Island winters. ORA Construction installs over compacted, properly drained base courses (not the 2-inch shortcut that fails by year three), with polymeric sand and ICPI/NCMA installation standards.

What's included

  • Cambridge, Techo-Bloc and Unilock paver driveways
  • Bluestone, brownstone and granite stoops and walkways
  • Stone veneer on front entries, columns and chimneys
  • Segmental and poured retaining walls with engineered drainage
  • Belgian-block curbing and apron details

Our process

1. Layout & Drainage

We assess pitch, runoff and existing utilities before excavating.

2. Base Prep

Excavation to 10–14 inches, geo-fabric, compacted RCA in 2-inch lifts.

3. Install

Pavers or stone laid to pattern, edge restraints, polymeric sand, plate-compacted and washed.

Cambridge, Techo-Bloc and Unilock paver driveways is one of the most common reasons Long Island homeowners call us — and the area where shortcuts cost the most over a decade.— ORA Construction project lead

What Long Island homeowners say

Had the sidewalk and pathway removed, and replaced. Very pleased with the result, looks great, nice having a new sidewalk. Will probably have more work done by Ora. Anthony was very helpful.

Sidewalk & pathway replacement · Syosset, NY

Recently, Anthony and his crew removed and re-surfaced our driveway. He completed the job as scheduled. We were very satisfied with the results and would whole heartedly recommend him for your home improvement needs.

Driveway removal & resurfacing · Manhattan, NY

Anthony built our new home and we couldn't recommend him more highly. His attention to detail is unreal — every room and every finish is exactly where it should be. His eye for design elevated our plans in ways we didn't know to ask for, and the choices he nudged us toward are now the things we love most about the house. On top of that, his deep roots in the community showed up everywhere: top-tier subs whom we loved working with, fast answers from local officials, and the right person for every question we had. A true craftsman and a genuinely good guy to work with.
